Do your CCTV cameras work without mains power?

Yes. Our Trojan cameras include an internal battery – and with the addition of PowerPak energy vaults, can run continuously for days on end. They can also be powered by any other 12V DC source, generator or even renewable energy sources.

How long do the batteries last in your Trojan CCTV cameras?

The internal battery on our Trojan camera will provide power for up to 2 hours’ use. The internal battery on our Trojan Plus camera provides power for up to 12 hours’ use. Both cameras will have their battery consumption increased with the addition of accessories but can be powered for significantly longer with the addition of a PowerPak energy vault.

Do your CCTV cameras attach to lampposts / street lighting?

Yes. Our proprietary EasyFit bracket system enables the quick and straightforward attachment of our redeployable cameras to all modern street lighting. They can even be strapped to lampposts or other street furniture using metal ties in the absence of brackets.

How long does it take to install your Trojan CCTV cameras?

Our cameras are delivered pre-configured so all you need to do is power on and fix them in place. Our EasyFit bracket system makes this process straightforward. We generally find users take between 3 – 10 minutes to install each camera.

How quickly can your Trojan CCTV cameras be relocated?

Cameras can be mounted and dismounted from buildings, street furniture and even vehicles within minutes. Our EasyFit bracket system makes the process extremely quick so you can reconfigure your camera positioning with very little notice.

What are the weight and dimensions of your Trojan CCTV cameras?

Our Trojan camera weighs approx. 6kg and has dimensions of approx. 470mm (H) x 168mm (W).

Do your CCTV cameras work in low light conditions or include night vision?

Yes, our Trojan cameras include integral infra-red (IR) to permit 24/7 operation in day or night conditions.

Do you produce carry-cases to store and transport your Trojan CCTV cameras?

Yes, we can provide rugged cases to accommodate a single Trojan camera with power supply unit; each with custom-made foam inserts to protect against shock, ensuring that your equipment is stored and transported safely.

Which video management software (VMS) platforms are your products compatible with?

Our CCTV products interface with Hikvision video management software as standard and can also be configured to interface seamlessly with a wide range of other leading platforms. Please get in touch to find out if our products are compatible with your chosen software.

Do you offer any video analytics on your products?

Yes, our mobile cameras accommodate video analytics, including intrusion, line crossing, region entrance & exit, unattended baggage and object removal detection.

Do your rapid deployment CCTV towers work without mains power?

Yes. Our CCTV towers are designed for use in environments where power is absent or unreliable. Our Galaxy Tower is fully powered by internal diesel generator; our Spartan Tower operates from internal rechargeable batteries. Our CCTV towers include a power resource manager which notifies the user by email when battery or fuel is running low.

How long do your CCTV towers work without mains power?

Our Galaxy Tower is powered by internal diesel generator, which can provide up to 45 days of operation. Our Spartan Tower operates from internal rechargeable batteries which can provide up to 10 days operation, version dependant. Our CCTV towers include a power resource manager which notifies the user by email when battery or fuel is running low.

Can your CCTV tower be towed by any vehicle?

Our CCTV towers can be towed by the vast majority of cars, vans and trucks, attaching via its trailer towbar.

Can I use my own cameras or devices on your mobile CCTV tower?

Yes. As standard our CCTV towers come with a range of our own redeployable cameras and sensors, but we can also provide the towers without any additional devices (chassis only or chassis and power only).

Which cameras and devices come as standard on your mobile CCTV towers?

As standard, we typically provide 4x 4 mexapixel turret cameras for 360 viewing up to 30 metres with IR; 4 PIRs; 1 x 2 mexapixel PTZ camera for viewing up to 150 metres with IR; and an external loudspeaker. A masthead receiver for wireless PIRs is supplied as an optional extra.

How long does it take to install your rapid deployment CCTV towers?

Once detached from the towing vehicle, our CCTV towers are operational within 10 - 15 minutes.

How quickly can I relocate your rapid deployment CCTV towers?

Our mobile CCTV towers are straightforward to relocate with minimal planning required. Each unit can typically take 10-15 minutes to assemble or disassemble.

Are your CCTV towers vandal and climb resistant?

Yes. Our CCTV towers are designed mechanically to prevent climbing. The tower chassis provides no footholds – only a sloped surface – and our standard towers feature spikes on the mast.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. We service business from all worldwide locations.

Do you supply SIM cards with your redeployable CCTV products?

Data packages are arranged on contract by the end user, or service supplier for rental products. You will require a fixed public IP address SIM or another specialist network SIM suitable for your local network provider.

You can insert the SIM cards into our products yourself, following written instructions, but we prefer to insert and configure our redeployable cameras with your free issued SIMs before they leave our factory to ensure correct set up and then test the units for environmental integrity. Fitting new or replacement SIMs is a service we offer to all our customers free of charge.

What is the lead time on your redeployable CCTV products?

Lead times vary subject to stock levels. Redeployable cameras can typically be configured and shipped within 2 weeks. Our mobile CCTV towers can take up to 6-8 weeks, depending on stock availability, the size of your order and delivery schedules. We do everything possible to accommodate urgent requests.

How do your mobile CCTV cameras compare to traditional fixed systems?

Our mobile CCTV cameras can be installed and relocated to virtually anywhere within minutes, unlike traditional fixed CCTV systems. This means that often fewer cameras and supporting devices are needed to monitor the same area – therefore reducing the level of investment required. They also need only minimal installation compared to fixed CCTV systems - which are time-consuming and highly costly to implement (often requiring underground cabling).

How do your CCTV cameras compare to budget CCTV equipment available in retail stores or online?

There is really no comparison. Our products are designed and manufactured by expert video engineers using the highest quality materials and the most advanced manufacturing processes. Our products are made for the professional user, including government, police, heavy industry – and are built to last. We do not aim to compete with low-cost retail security equipment.

Do you offer CCTV leasing?

Yes. Our full range of redeployable solutions are available through our third party CCTV leasing service for a fixed term of between 2-5 years, with payment made on a monthly or quarterly basis to suit your cash requirements.

Do you offer CCTV rental?

Yes, subject to stock. Pre-configured and ready to power on, our redeployable cameras and CCTV towers can be hired for anywhere between 1 week and 2 years.

Are your mobile CCTV cameras suitable for use by police?

Yes. Our redeployable CCTV solutions are used by police forces and other agencies facing surveillance challenges in both urban and rural locations. Recorded video clips can be downloaded in HD format, including pre and post recording of an incident, providing all the requirements for evidential purposes.

Are your mobile CCTV cameras suitable for councils?

Yes. Our redeployable CCTV solutions are used by councils of all sizes – as standalone units for small town or parish councils to large fleets of cameras used by authorities as part of an integrated security network.

Are your mobile CCTV cameras suitable for construction site security?

Yes. Our rugged CCTV cameras are designed to perform highly in construction site environments and have been used for a range of construction and demolition projects for the purposes of site security, project management, process control and health and safety compliance.

Do you provide redeployable CCTV cameras for fly tipping?

Yes. Our redeployable CCTV cameras have proven effective at tackling fly tipping – both to provide a deterrent and capture the vital video evidence necessary for tracing culprits and securing successful prosecutions. Our cameras are quick to install on street furniture or even trees, adjusted remotely – and can be repositioned according to the movement of fly tipping hotspots.

Do you provide temporary event CCTV?

Yes. Our mobile CCTV cameras and CCTV towers are ideal for temporary events on both a purchase or rental basis. Our products enable event managers and law enforcement agencies to remotely monitor activity in highly populated areas for the purposes of information gathering, crowd control, health and safety, incident alerts, traffic management and crime reduction.

What warranty do you offer on your redeployable CCTV products?

Our 2 year return-to-base warranty includes the repair and return of any faulty equipment, providing it has been regularly serviced; batteries have been operated according to our usage instructions; and that products have not been modified or reconfigured without authorisation. Our 2 year warranty also includes replacement parts supplied to authorised and qualified trade customers who wish to undertake their own repairs to our instructions.

Do you undertake installation of your products?

Many of our customers find our products straightforward to install themselves – but when required, we can recommend an approved installer local to you.

What sort of technical support do you provide?

We provide remote telephone and email technical support as standard for all customers. With 3G/4G connectivity, our remote support engineers are able to directly connect to your equipment for diagnostic purposes (web-enabled devices) and can undertake site visits when necessary.
